About

FutureNation Film Fest 2026

FutureNation Film Fest (FNFF) is Bangladesh’s first future-focused independent film festival — founded and organized entirely by young independent filmmakers and students.

Born from the spirit of the youth, FNFF is a bold platform to uplift powerful short films from Bangladesh and beyond. We believe cinema is not just art.

It is resistance. It is identity. It is a signal to the state — that the stories of ordinary people, marginalized communities, and forgotten voices matter.

No entry fee . No gatekeeping . No compromise . Just fearless films and a new generation of storytellers .

FNFF 2026 marks our inaugural edition — held online, bringing together filmmakers from Bangladesh and beyond without any physical barrier.

FutureNation Film Fest

Our Purpose

VISION

To build a cultural framework where Bangladeshi and international filmmakers celebrate their own authentic stories — free from the dominance of any imposed cultural narrative.

We stand against cultural hegemony in any form. We believe no culture should be forced upon a nation or its people. Through cinema, we seek to signal to governments, institutions, and societies that humanity, dignity, and the daily lived experience of every person deserves to be seen and heard.

FutureNation Film Fest exists to inspire a generation of storytellers who use cinema as a peaceful, powerful instrument of cultural resistance and social change.

Our Direction

MISSION

01

To amplify the voices of young, independent, and marginalized filmmakers — from Bangladesh and beyond.

02

To celebrate original Bangladeshi culture and resist the dominance of imposed cultural narratives.

03

To provide a free, open, and ungated platform where any story — human rights, political satire, social injustice, environmental crisis, or everyday life — can be told without fear.

04

To stand culturally against human rights violations, environmental destruction, and any system that suppresses the voice of its people.

05

To build a permanent digital archive of fearless independent cinema — a living record of our times.
